The Media Operations section works to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

The men and women of the Air Combat Command will welcome a new commander during a Change of Command ceremony, March 10, 2017. General Hawk Carlisle will relinquish command to General Mike Holmes. The ceremony is open to Department of Defense ID card holders and their family members. The event will be held in the 94th Fighter Squadron Hangar, building 791, and will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. Shuttles will begin on March 10, at 9:15 a.m. and run until 10:15 a.m. from the parking lot across from the Shoppette as specified in the above map. Shuttles will resume after the ceremony, making stops at specified parking areas. They will also go to the Post Change of Command Reception at the Bayview Commonwealth Center and continue to run until all attendees are returned to the specified parking area.

AFAF campaign to kick-off

The 2017 Air Force Assistance Fund campaign will kick-off March 6, 2017 and will run through May 19, 2017 at Joint Base Langely-Eustis, Va. This year marks the 44th Annual AFAF campaign which showcases the ongoing theme of ‘Commitment to Caring’ which mirrors the Airmen helping Airmen purpose of the campaign.
