The Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) is the Army’s primary on-duty education initiative designed to help Soldiers enhance their General Technical (GT) score. The program focuses on developing key skills in word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, and arithmetic reasoning.

Army Personnel Testing (APT) Examinations offered:

• Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT) 
• Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB)
• Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT)
• Selection Instrument Flight Training (SIFT) **must have GT score of 110 or higher to test for SIFT**
• Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)
• Oral Proficiency (OPI) for Foreign Area Officer (FAO) and Career Management Fields (CMFs)
• English Comprehension Level Test (ELT-CAT)
• Federal Aviation Administration (AMA-AMG-AMP) Exams
