U.S. Airman saves a U.S. Marine Colonel’s life

“Any nurse, first responder, physician … it’s in our nature to go towards whoever needs help,” stated Fields. “The week prior, I had actually just refreshed on my CPR training. Call it what you want, but a lot of things aligned to have everything go well that day. There’s actually a train that comes into Quantico and cuts off the passage of travel and the EMS transport team beat the train leaving the scene by a few seconds.”

The 633d Medical Group at Joint Base Langley-Eustis will launch the Department of Defense’s new electronic health record, Military Health System GENESIS, on January 21, 2023. This change is in collaboration with the other facilities in the Defense Health Agency’s Tidewater Market, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and Fort Eustis’ McDonald Army Health Center.

U.S. Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly, commander of Air Combat Command, certified the new F-22 Demonstration Team Pilot on Dec. 9, 2022, ahead of the 2023 air show season. Capt. Samuel “RaZZ” Larson will be replacing Maj. Joshua “Cabo” Gunderson as the commander and pilot of the F-22 Demonstration Team.

The tidal creek and marsh areas stretch approximately one and a half miles from the upper end to where it empties into Skiffe’s Creek and then the James River. But Bailey Creek was not always the beautiful area it is today.

JBLE Family Advocacy Program supports all

Though Domestic Violence Awareness Month has come and gone, the topic of domestic abuse does not stay within the confines of a singular month. In October 1987, DVAM was first observed as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on related issues while also raising awareness. The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis has many resources for survivors to seek assistance for their specific needs; one resource is the domestic abuse victim advocate (DAVA).
