JBLE welcome new chiefs

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — The Langley Chiefs Group presented promotion line numbers to U.S. Air Force senior master sergeants at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Nov. 22, 2019. Across the Air Force, 530 senior master sergeants were selected for promotion to chief master sergeant out of 2,529.

Metals Technology Sparks Innovation

Airman’s innovation sparks excitement for Raptors

Guiding through stages of a career

JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. — From professional development training to retraining assistance, the career assistance advisors of Joint Base Langley-Eustis have a plethora of resources to help Airmen throughout their career. “Career assistance advisor is a multifaceted position and there are two roles,” said U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Brent Likes, JBLE career assistance advisor. “The first role is we help people out with some personnel programs that might be difficult for them, like retraining or base of preference applications. The [second role] is professional development, like the first term Airmen center, NCO professional enhancement seminar and the senior NCO professional enhancement seminar.”

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Charles Essel, 633rd Medical Support Squadron contract service manager, won the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce 2019 Military Citizen of the Year for the Air Force due to his military excellence and more than 70 hours of volunteering in the community.
