The Media Operations section works to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

Sal Giunta, former U.S. Army staff sergeant, received the Medal of Honor for his actions during an enemy attack in Korengal Valley, Afghanistan Oct. 25, 2007. Giunta is the first living Service member to receive the nation’s highest military honor since the Vietnam War, and is currently one of only 13 recipients to receive the medal for actions in Iraq or Afghanistan.
