The Media Operations section works to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

AEF Next represents next evolution in Air Force expeditionary operations

The Air Force’s Air Expeditionary Force Next system is designed to streamline the process for deploying Airmen, keeping them with their units and standardizing dwell times. Under the AEF Next construct, installations will deploy larger teams of Airmen from the same unit based on mission requirements. For example, the 633rd Air Base Wing will most likely deploy a large team consisting of mission support Airmen called an “Agile Combat Support Team,” including security forces, medical, civil engineering, logistics and other support personnel. Langley logistics Airman helps save Air Force assets

Marcin Vande Hei, 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Central Command Materiel Recovery Element non-commissioned officer-in-charge identifies a piece of equipment May 2, 2014 at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan.  As part of a CMRE team, Vande Hei is responsible for identifying, storing and redeploying assets to the U.S. or disposing of items located throughout the region. The CMRE team has helped recover more than 60 pieces of equipment worth about $1.66 million within the last eight months.
