The Media Operations section works to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

New tactical app helps reduce Unit Task Reorganization burden

Spc. Joshua Provo, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), sends up coordinates to his higher command during a 2013 dismounted patrol in Afghanistan. A new app known as the On Demand Information Network, or ODIN, enables rapid, over-the-air mission planning for software-defined tactical radios. Built using the Mounted Android Computing Environment, ODIN could help reduce the burdensome process of Unit Task Reorganization, which is required when network adjustments are needed due to changes in mission. Pocket guide spells out specifics of clothing allowance

For the first time ever, a handy pocket guide for Soldiers is now available to explain the specifics of their annual Clothing Replacement Allowance. The pamphlet spells out exactly what Soldiers are required to maintain in their clothing bag. It provides the expected useful life of each item, the standard annual replacement allowance for each item and recommended replacement intervals. (Courtesy graphic)
