The Media Operations section works to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

Munitions Airmen ensure combat airpower success
November 8, 2016 — 1st Maintenance Squadron’s munitions flight Airmen make potential impacts at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia every day, building weapons needed for successful combat airpower. Munitions Airmen provide support to the F-22 Raptor mission, in addition to supporting the missions of security forces, explosive ordinance disposal or the Office of Special Investigations. The productions, materials and systems sections within the munitions flight help provide services base wide. “Without Ammo, the fighter jets and bombers are just another aircraft, just another plane,” said U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Carl Slater, 1st MXS munitions flight assistant NCO in charge. “Ammo plays a huge role in what our jets and bombers do in order to succeed in the mission.” ... MORE

Veterans; America’s true melting pot
November 8, 2016 — Carl Johnson’s life matters. Johnson, a veteran now living in Virginia, was the last Tuskegee Airman to graduate from the famed school that produced so many heroic African American aviators. According to the Washington Post, the U.S. Army issued Johnson a train ticket for a Pullman sleeping car so he could get from Texas to Alabama for his military training in 1946. ... MORE

Engineers take part in readiness challenge
November 2, 2016 — Members of the 633rd Civil Engineer Squadron participated in a Prime Base Engineering Emergency Force, or Prime BEEF readiness challenge, Oct. 25, 2016 at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. During the training, the 12 teams of six to eight U.S. Air Force Airmen, with various specialties, spent 25 minutes at stations, which held a task representing a different civil engineering craft. ... 633rd FSS spices up food services
November 2, 2016 — The 633rd Force Support Squadron has a new Director of Food and Beverage, James Belle, who will be the point of contact at the leadership level for all nonappropriated food service operations at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.
