LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. -- Ms. Betty Blake, one of the original Women Air Force Service Pilots who served during World War II, watches as Capt. Leo Lemelson, F-22A Aerial Demonstration Team safety observer, explains the inner workings of the Raptor during the Ohio air show Sept. 30. Ms. Blake spent all four years of the war as a transport pilot ferrying 36 different types of aircraft including the P-51. Ms. Blake was one of 51 legendary aces, veterans, WASPs and crew chiefs honored at The Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 27-30. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Tracy Bunko)
