Jamaican farmer lives out dream as American Airman

The theme of this year’s Alcohol Awareness Month is “Help for Today. Hope for Tomorrow,” and both Joint Base Langley-Eustis alcohol and substance abuse programs are working toward bettering the lives of U.S. Service members suffering from alcohol dependence. The Alcohol and Drug Prevention and Treatment program at Langley Air Force Base provides one-on-one counseling sessions for active-duty U.S. Air Force Airmen and the Army Substance Abuse Program teaches U.S. Army Soldiers responsible alcohol use through monthly classes. Voluntary separation, retirement opens doors for outbound Airmen

JBLE SAPR, SHARP work to end sexual assault

The safety and well-being of Soldiers and Airmen is top priority for the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response and the Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Prevention teams at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. Sexual assault is a crime, defined as the unwanted verbal, non-verbal or physical sexual contact of a victim, female or male. Through recycling and proper disposal of waste environmental personnel from Langley Air Force Base and Fort Eustis, Va., believe Joint Base Langley-Eustis has an opportunity and a responsibility to lead the way in proper waste disposal.
