Courage under fire: 633 SFS defender earns Bronze Star

Col. Kenneth J. D’Alfonso, 633d Mission Support Group commander, presents the Bronze Star Medal and citation  to Tech. Sgt. Matthew Loiselle, 633d Security Forces Squadron, at Herron Hall on Langley Air Force Base, Va., March 18, 2011. Sergeant Loiselle received the honor for meritorious achievement as a personal security advisor for Headquarters United States Forces-Iraq’s Air Component Coordination Element while deployed to Camp Victory, Iraq from April 2009 to April 2010. While deployed, he planned and led more than 300 red zone convoy missions throughout the Baghdad area with a 100 percent success rate and successfully provided security for 275 key leadership engagements.
