497 ISR Group welcomes new commander

Lt. Col. Patrick M. Shortsleeve (right) accepts the guidon from Col. Paul Nelson, 480th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing commander, as he assumes command of the the 497 ISR Group during a change of command ceremony June 24 at the Bayview Commonwealth Center. Colonel Shortsleeve will command more than 800 personnel across four squadrons in a Total Force Integration environment, including two active-duty squadrons, one Air National Guard and one Reserve squadron. 'Organized' SNCO takes ACC honors

Master Sgt. William Joseph, 1st Maintenance Operations Squadron Wing Plans & Documentation superintendent, performs vital tasks that led to his win of Air Combat Command Scheduler of the Year for 2010, the highest honor for any scheduler. Sergeant Joseph’s most notable accomplishments included spearheading the deployment plan for approximately 10 F-22 Raptors, enabling a 100-percent quality assurance pass rate and completing 36 hours of ongoing education.
