Service members use DUI prevention programs

To avoid driving under the influence, members of Joint Base Langley-Eustis take advantage of programs and training provided by the 733rd Security Forces Squadron and other installation services. To get a safe ride home when under the influence call the Drunk Driving Prevention Program at (757) 847-9780, or Soldiers and Airmen Against Drunk Driving at (757) 764-2233. DDPP operates Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and drives the requestor’s vehicle. Oh, deer: JBLE environmental ensures wildlife aids mission

The 733rd Civil Engineer Division environmental element at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., ensures mission success by managing natural resources to provide adequate land on which U.S. Army Soldier’s train. The deer population is an example of wildlife managed on JBLE. Overpopulation risks depletion of the understory of the forest, which could impact Soldiers land navigation training or other mission-related activities.
