TMCs focus on Soldier medical readiness

The staff at McDonald Army Health Center’s Troop Medical Services at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Va. divide active duty Soldiers into three separate demographics in order to provide medical care to U.S. Army Soldiers quickly and effectively, improving the readiness of service members across installations. By splitting the demographics into different clinics, medical personnel can pay closer attention to Soldier care, focusing on readiness, length of duty-limiting profiles, military exams, immunizations and periodic health assessments. Service members use DUI prevention programs

To avoid driving under the influence, members of Joint Base Langley-Eustis take advantage of programs and training provided by the 733rd Security Forces Squadron and other installation services. To get a safe ride home when under the influence call the Drunk Driving Prevention Program at (757) 847-9780, or Soldiers and Airmen Against Drunk Driving at (757) 764-2233. DDPP operates Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and drives the requestor’s vehicle.
