Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

EEO cuts complaint resolution time
February 8, 2017 — Federal employees and applicants for civilian employment at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, who file workplace complaints through the 633rd Air Base Wing Equal Opportunity Office, may now see the resolution process shorten from several years, to just a few months. Individuals filing complaints may elect to participate in an Equal Opportunity pilot program called the Compressed, Orderly, Rapid and Equitable Process instead of the traditional civilian EO complaint resolution process. POL: we fuel the fight
February 8, 2017 — From refueling jets and firetrucks to testing fuel samples and maintaining liquid oxygen, the 733rd Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels management flight does it all at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The fuels management flight, also known as POL for petroleum, oils and lubricants, provides fuel support to the Air Combat Command, Fort Eustis’ Training Doctrine, six battalions, five wings and 30 organizations across JBLE. About 70 POL Airmen supply more than 9.5 million gallons of fuel approximately 60 aircraft, all government operated vehicles, generators and GOV refueling stations around base. “We are a family here at POL and we ensure that we treat the base like that too,” said U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Kevin Mendelsohn, 733rd LRS fuels management flight commander. “We give outstanding support and make sure the service we provide and the fuel they receive is of extremely high standards.” ... MORE

Coast Guard Port Security Unit prepares to deploy
February 8, 2017 — A U.S. Coast Guard unit assigned to Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, participated in a week-long exercise to prepare for an upcoming deployment in support of antiterrorist force protection.
