SRC offers Airmen supervisory guidance

By Airman Areca T. Wilson 633rd Air Base Wing Public Affairs

The Supervisor Resource Center, a hub designed to put Air Force tools and no-cost resources into the hands of emerging supervisors and leaders, is now available online for Airmen.

"The SRC is an opportunity for Airmen to develop strong leadership skills, which prepares them for future supervisory roles," said Robert Chiera, 633rd Force Support Squadron civilian training manager. "It can supplement the lessons learned during professional military training."

The SRC is accessible 24/7 to brand new supervisors or seasoned leaders looking to develop Airmen. Included in the SRC's database are "e-Learning" courses, books, simulations, skill briefs and job-aids to jump-start learning and development.

"These free resources were originally offered to civilian employees," said Chiera. "However, after additional subject matter expert input, the program was expanded to serve as a developmental tool for all Airmen."

Learning and development roadmaps are also available through the SRC to help supervisors mentor and grow their Airmen.

"The multitude of training resources offered by the SRC offers Airmen an opportunity to enhance their leadership training," said Chiera.

Airmen can access the SRC through the Air Force Portal. It can be found under "Force Development" through the "Life and Career" tab.
