Fort Eustis-based Coast Guard unit deploys to Middle East

U.S. Coast Guard Rear Adm. Coast Guard Atlantic Area deputy commander, holds an all-hands session with Port Security 305 Jan. 3, 201, before the team deployed to the Middle East. The unit, which is based out of Fort Eustis' U.S. Army Transportation Center, will provide seaward security at strategic port locations around the North Arabian Gulf ensuring the free flow of personnel, equipment and commerce in the region during the six month deployment. JBLE Tax Centers to open Feb. 1

The Joint Base Langley-Eustis Tax Centers will open their locations at Langley Air Force Base and Fort Eustis Feb. 1. The centers will operate until April 17 and will be staffed by Airmen, Soldiers and civilian volunteers, and will provide free tax preparation and services to active duty servicemembers, their dependents and retirees.
