633rd MDG to eliminate tobacco use on Langley hospital campus

Beginning Sept. 26, 2013, the 633rd Medical Group at Langley Air Force Base, Va., will transition their entire campus to a tobacco-free zone. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, roughly 443,000 people die from tobacco use every year, making it the leading preventable cause of death, disease and disability in the United States. Army launches start of 50th Anniversary Commemoration of Vietnam War

Raymond Mason, Army lead for the the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War, hosted the Pentagon's first celebration, Aug. 28, 2013, honoring those who served in Vietnam during the 10-year war, between 1965 and 1975. Roger Towberman took the seat as the wing's command chief. Fort Eustis first responders awarded international accreditation

October 8 to 12 is Fire Prevention Week, and the Fort Eustis Fire Department is geared up to ensure the post community can beat the heat and stay safe. The department will host a series of events throughout the week to educate Soldiers and families about fire safety, such as door-to-door visits in post housing, blood pressure checks, fire extinguisher demonstrations, and a fire station open house.
