COL. THOMAS W. "GUNS" BERGESON

Colonel Thomas W. Bergeson is the commander of the 1st Operations Group, Langley Air Force Base VA. He is responsible for an Operations Group consisting of three fighter squadrons and an Operations Support Squadron. 

He was commissioned in 1985 following graduation from the United States Air Force Academy. His assignments include flying duties as a Weapons School F-15 instructor pilot, flight commander, air division executive officer, operations officer, commander and a staff assignment as the Executive Officer to the Commander of Air Combat Command. He is a command pilot with over 3000 hours in fighter aircraft.
