Colonel Frankie Cochiaosue

Colonel Frankie C. Cochiaosue, is the Commander, 733d Mission Support Group (MSG), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA. He leads 1100+ personnel in four squadrons that provides installation support, base operations and quality of life programs to the Fort Eustis community consisting of 20,000+ Service Members, DoD Civilians and Family Members. The 733d MSG supports the wartime readiness of two U. S. Army deployable brigades and one Joint Task Force, while simultaneously providing peacetime mission support to organizations representing every Major Army Command, three Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Transportation.

 

Colonel Cochiaosue received his commission in 1999 upon graduation from the United States Military Academy, West Point.  Although initially commissioned into the Corps of Engineers, his passion and commitment is to the Adjutant General Corps and Human Resources. 

 

Colonel Cochiaosue holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Psychology from the United States Military Academy, West Point, a Masters of Public Administration and Policy from Webster University, and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.  

 

His professional military education includes the Engineer Officer Basic Course and Captains Career Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, and the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.

 

He has served in a variety of critical assignments that include Horizontal Construction Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer, Bravo Company, 62D Engineer Battalion, Fort Sill, OK; Deputy Public Affairs Officer, 2nd Infantry Division, South Korea; Company Commander, Bravo Company, 2-46 Infantry, Fort Knox, KY; Company Commander, Wilkes-Barre Recruiting Company, Syracuse Recruiting Battalion, Wilkes-Barre, PA; Deputy G1, Plan and Operations Officer 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS and forward-deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn; Brigade S-1, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS and forward-deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; Portland, OR, Military Entrance Processing Station Commander, Portland, OR; ACoS, G1, USACCoE&FG, Fort Gordon, GA;  ACoS, G1, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, KS and forward-deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve; Assistant Director, Military Personnel Division and Element Commander for the Human Resources Directorate, the Washington Headquarters Services, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, DC.

 

His awards and decorations include Defense Superior Service Medal, two Bronze Star Medals, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, five Meritorious Service Medals, three Army Commendation Medals, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Recruiter Badge, German Armed Forces Military Proficiency Silver Badge, and Office of the Secretary of Defense Badge. He has also received the Adjutant General's Corps Regimental Association, COL Robert Manning Achievement Medal, and MG Horatio Gates Bronze Medal.

 

Colonel Cochiaosue is married to the former Krista Blake of Greeley, Colorado and one child.
