Eyes and Ears: Command Center provides vital information for combat missions, support

Strategic aerial support and combat missions occur daily around the world; and Airmen at the Air Combat Command, Command Center work 24-7 to ensure that their major command’s commander and his staff are well informed of the statuses of their MAJCOM missions. While a command center is similar to a command post, the ACC Command Center works on a much larger scale gathering internal and external information that affects all of the command’s bases, not just a single installation. The center then gives all that data to the COMACC enabling him to make informed decisions and lead his command with the proper information.

F-22 Raptor Demo Team receive COMACC qualification

F-22 Raptor Demo Team 2017 season soars to an end

Within nine months the 13-member U.S. Air Force Raptor Demonstration Team supported more than 20 air shows in four countries and 16 states; ending the 2017 season at the Aviation Nation Air and Space Expo at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Langley Raptors return home

Over 100 members assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing returned to Langley Air Force Base today after a 6 month deployment to the Middle East. During their deployment, F-22 Raptors participated in Operation INHERENT RESOLVE against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. “I can’t be more proud of our Airmen,” said U.S. Air Force Col. Jason T. Hinds, 1st FW Commander. “They did fantastic work operating and maintaining the F-22 for a prolonged period of combat operations. Well done.”
