JBLE members recognized during VPCC annual breakfast

The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce hosted a military recognition breakfast, on Sept. 7th, 2023. The annual event highlighted the enduring partnership between the VPCC and the military community.  During the event, Bob McKenna, VPCC president, noted five branches call the Peninsula home making the military a significant part of the community.

Air Combat Command's enlisted force honored their commander with an induction into the Order of the Sword at the Riverview Event Center on Aug. 30. The Order of the Sword is the highest honor the enlisted corps can bestow upon a senior ranking officer in the Air Force.

Jamaican-born Airman reconnects with her roots

A recent medical training mission became an opportunity for one U.S. Airman to give back to the country of her birth. Senior Airman Oshin Mullings, a physical therapy technician with the 633d Operational Medical Readiness Squadron at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, recently traveled to Jamaica as part of an Embedded Health Engagement Team, or EHET, focused on collaborating with Jamaican military healthcare providers.

JBLE Family Advocacy Program supports all

Though Domestic Violence Awareness Month has come and gone, the topic of domestic abuse does not stay within the confines of a singular month. In October 1987, DVAM was first observed as a way to connect and unite individuals and organizations working on related issues while also raising awareness. The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis has many resources for survivors to seek assistance for their specific needs; one resource is the domestic abuse victim advocate (DAVA).

WSEP supports 94th FGS’s first MCA team mission

Fighter generation squadrons across the U.S. Air Force are fostering Cross Utilization Training and the Multi-Capable Airmen concept as the service branch continues towards operationalizing Agile Combat Employment to ensure a sustainable force of Airmen and airpower at any time and any place. The 1st Fighter Wing out of Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, brought several Multi-Capable Airmen teams to participate in the 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group’s Weapons System Evaluation Program-East 23.02, Oct. 31 – Nov. 9, 2022.
