LOTS of training

The 10th Transportation Battalion (Terminal) conducted a Logistics Over-the-Shore training at Joint Expeditionary Base-Little Creek, Virginia, Feb. 1 – 5, 2021. The objective was to train in command and control, terminal, and redeployment operations to support joint LOTS and/or large-scale combat operations from a simulated port environment to a simulated corps support area.

Making risk management a way of life

The 7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) received the Department of the Army Risk Management Award for exceptional performance and significant contributions to the U.S. Army Safety and Occupational Health Program at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Jan. 12, 2021. According to the award’s official citation the 7th TB(X) demonstrated exemplary leadership and made significant contributions to Army readiness using the tenets of risk management.

MITD receives the legacy LSV-2 CW3 Harold C. Clinger

As daylight subsided and night slowly took over, the large U.S. Army Logistics Support Vessel CW3 Harold C. Clinger inched its way into dock at Third Port, Aug. 29, 2020. The 31 crewmembers of the LSV-2 finished their 45-day voyage from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The LSV-2 set sail out of JBPHH and is the first of three to arrive to fulfill the Maritime and Intermodal Training Division’s training mission.

McDonald introduces pagers for long wait times

The McDonald Army Health Center pharmacy introduced 60 restaurant style pagers to better help with long lines and wait times June 15, 2020. The pagers expand the pharmacy’s threshold for the number of patients it can serve on a daily basis. The inside lobby holds 12 patients and up to six can be at the windows at any given time, along with 60 patients with pagers.
