JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. - Carissa Agnese, Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District planning department senior biologist, first met Dan Porter, 633rd Civil Engineer Squadron base energy manager, while doing a site survey at Joint Base Langley Eustis, Virginia, for a power generation plant. While Porter’s kidney wasn’t a match for Agnese, with help from the Paired Kidney Exchange he ended up donating his kidney to someone in Wisconsin and Agnese received a kidney from someone in Minnesota, totaling six pairs of donors and recipients.
