JBB welcomes new aircraft, unit
JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq ? Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Barhorst, 362nd Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron chief enlisted manager, holds the unit guide-on during an assumption of command ceremony here June 9. The ceremony was held to activate the 362nd ERS; the new unit conducts MC-12 operations. The MC-12 is a medium-altitude manned special-mission turboprop aircraft designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. MC-12 aircraft will operate from here in support of Coalition and joint ground forces. Native of Sidney, Ohio, Chief Barhorst is deployed here from Hurlburt Field, Fla.
