JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. –
Joint Base Langley-Eustis is hosting a contest to find the next logo for the Air Power over Hampton Roads air show in 2023!
This contest is open to all members of the Hampton Roads community. The winning APoHR logo will be used to advertise the air show across JBLE and Department of Defense social media platforms leading up to the APoHR 2023. The logo will also be placed on merchandise and marketing material throughout the event.
Although there is no monetary prize, the winner will be recognized on all JBLE official social media platforms and will receive a challenge coin presented by the JBLE Installation Commander.
The winner will be notified via their submitted email and the winning logo will be revealed via JBLE official social media platforms and press advisories on May 6, 2022.
Official terms and conditions: Individuals may submit only one (1) design. By submitting an entry to the contest, the submitter understands and acknowledges that their design may be edited, in whole or in part, to meet scaling and design criteria for future marketing applications. Submitters relinquish all rights and intellectual property associated with the submitted design to the U.S. Air Force via 633d Air Base Wing Public Affairs. By entering the contest you hereby affirm that you are eighteen years of age or older and, in the case that the designer of the submission is under the age of 18, you are the parent or legal guardian of the designer of the submission and are authorized to agree to these terms of submission on the designer’s behalf.
Eligibility: Submitters must reside in the Hampton Roads area.
How to enter: Submit entries to jbletv@gmail.com with the subject line “APoHR Graphic Contest.”
Period of entry: April 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. EST and ends May 3, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
The submitter must include the following information in their submission email:
1) First and last name
2) Parent or legal guardian’s first and last name (if submitting on behalf of their child under the age of 18)
3) Date of birth
4) Mailing address
5) If military, include:
a. Duty Status: Active, Guard, Reserve
b. Branch of Service
c. Rank
d. Unit
The submitted design must:
1) be computer generated.
2) include the following words:
a. Air Power over Hampton Roads
b. 2023
i. Designers are welcome to submit designs featuring all-caps, but when submitting designs featuring common titling, appropriate capitalization must be used.
3) not include additional verbiage or messaging.
4) not include any copyrighted imagery.
5) include one (1), but no more than three (3), colors.
6) be submitted as a .PNG file type with a transparent background.
