Cone talks budget cuts, impacts to TRADOC mission, workforce

Gen. Robert W. Cone, commanding general of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, hosted a town hall forum to share information directly with the TRADOC civilian workforce Feb. 7 at Jacob's Theater on Fort Eustis. Cone told the standing-room only crowd of civilians and supervisors who work in the command's headquarters that it is important to protect what he believes is the "seed corn" for the future " the command's nearly 19,600-strong civilian workforce. Resolute warrior earns star note

U.S. Army Sgt. Jesus Rivera, assigned to the 382nd Transportation Theater Opening Element, Special Troops Battalion, 7th Sustainment Brigade, was recognized Feb. 11 for his outstanding effort supporting the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2 section, in November 2012. He was presented with a star note written by Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Officer Thomas F. Greco and presented by Col. Jennifer Reinkober, commander, 7th Sus. Bde.
