ACAP transforms to provide transition services for all Soldiers

The Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) has transformed into the Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program in preparation for full implementation of the Transition Soldier for Life Cycle (SLC) program, as a means to better serve Soldiers throughout their careers. The Soldier for Life initiative is the Army’s holistic approach to a Soldier’s military career life cycle, and aims to care for Soldiers beginning with their initial entry and through their military service, reintegration and transition. Installations to open SHARP Resource Centers

The U.S. Army intends to launch 11 pilot Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program Resource Centers within the coming months, using the center already at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, as a model to analyze the effectiveness and assess costs needed to provide SHARP services in centers on other military installations.
