Quit smoking: it is never too late

To encourage both Airmen and Soldiers to quit the use of tobacco as a New Year's resolution, the Health and Wellness Center at Langley Air Force Base,Va., teamed up with the American Lung Association to create a program where participants may attend a one-hour seminar on smoking cessation. To promote continuing the healthy behavior they have learned, participants then call the ALA each week for 12 weeks to report progress, which is then e-mailed to the HAWC. JBLE prepared for sea level rise

The shoreline stabilization includes a 10 kilometer rip rap sea wall that brings the base’s shore 5.4 feet above sea level.
