The Media Operations section works to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

JBLE Kicks Off Army Emergency Relief Campaign 2026
March 13, 2026 — JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va.—Senior leadership from Joint Base Langley-Eustis kicked off the 2026 Army Emergency Relief Campaign by signing donation checks to AER. Army Emergency Relief provides financial and educational support for soldiers through their annual fundraising campaign spanning from March 1 to June 14. Modernizing Fort Eustis’ Main Entrance
March 10, 2026 — Joint Base Langley-Eustis is beginning a long-planned renovation of the Fort Eustis main gate access control point to improve safety, security and traffic flow for personnel, visitors and commercial drivers. The $21.4 million project, overseen by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District, will expand the gate from four to five entry lanes, add covered guard booths, and construct new facilities for privately owned vehicle and commercial vehicle inspections, along with a larger Visitor Control Center. Construction began in late 2025 and will occur in four phases through December 2027, with some temporary lane reductions expected during peak construction periods. Once complete, the upgraded gate will provide more efficient visitor processing and reduce wait times while improving overall installation security... MORE

From Classroom to Chairside: Dental Program Builds Careers at Fort Eustis
March 3, 2026 — A Dental Assistant Program at Fort Eustis, launched in October 2025 through a partnership with the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces, trains eligible military family members through classroom instruction and 600 hours of chairside clinic experience. Virtual program reestablishes CATM for the modern era
February 18, 2026 — As adversaries evolve, maintaining mission readiness requires service members to continually adapt and refine essential war fighting skills. The Engagement Skills Trainer program provides service members the opportunity to practice marksmanship and prepare for weapons qualification in a virtual environment, reinforcing combat readiness before live-fire training...
