Media members visiting JBLE must be escorted by a Public Affairs representative at all times. Military members and civilian workers contacted by news media should liaise with the Public Affairs Office Media Operations section.

The 633d Air Base Wing Inspector General’s office conducted a base-wide active shooter exercise to assess the proficiency and readiness of Joint Base Langley-Eustis, June 28, 2022. A simulated crisis can be used to evaluate the response of organizations such as law enforcement, medical, and other support agencies.

Freedom to be yourself; U.S. Air Force captain shows the importance of pride month

In 1993, the Department of Defense enacted Directive 1304.26, better known as the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Military law stated service members could no longer ask another service member about their sexual orientation or reveal their own sexual orientation. The policy allowed “homosexual or bisexual” members to serve, but only if they were silent.

“My entire job is based around the concept ‘so others may live’,” said Staff Sgt. Kennedy Houser, 633d Surgical Operations Squadron, sterile processing non-commissioned officer in charge. Houser was raised in Alabama and joined the Air Force in 2015. According to Houser, service, whether it be to her country or those in need, has always been a big part of her identity.

Gregory Beaulieu, 633d Air Base Wing commander presided over ceremony, relinquishing command from U.S. Army Col. Chesley Thigpen to Col. Cochiaosue.
