Tax centers assist service members and families

Tax centers at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, will begin offering tax filing services to active duty service members, retirees and dependents starting Jan. 28, 2019. Both offices will be open Mondays through Thursdays each week. However, the Langley Air Force Base office will be open from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. until April 18, 2019, and the Fort Eustis office will be open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. until April 15, 2019.

Hampton community honors fallen heroes

Joint Base Langley-Eustis and Hampton community members gathered together at the Hampton National Cemetery to pay respect to fallen members of the Armed Forces in honor of National Wreaths Across America Day in Hampton, Virginia, Dec. 15, 2018. The program is held annually, either on the second or third Saturday of December. Participants and volunteers place wreaths at more than 1,000 memorial cemeteries across the United States each year

Trees for Troops brings cheer to families, one tree at a time

Dreary weather did not diminish the holiday spirit of U.S. service members as they walked back and forth carrying tightly wrapped evergreen trees from a shipping truck to Bethel Park and Schultz Plaza at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Dec. 7, 2018. With each breath the U.S. Army Soldiers and U.S. Air Force Airmen took as they carried the trees, a small cloud escaped their lips. However, smiles covered their faces and holiday music filled the air as they unpacked the 550 trees donated by tree farms in the northeast U.S. and Canada.
