National Nutrition Month: Puts Best Fork Forward

National Nutrition Month is an educational campaign designed to emphasize the importance of healthy eating habits and is recognized in the month of March at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. This year’s campaign theme is ‘Put Your Best Fork Forward,’ which encourages individuals to start with small changes in eating habits. The men and women of the Air Combat Command will welcome a new commander during a Change of Command ceremony, March 10, 2017. General Hawk Carlisle will relinquish command to General Mike Holmes. The ceremony is open to Department of Defense ID card holders and their family members. The event will be held in the 94th Fighter Squadron Hangar, building 791, and will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. Shuttles will begin on March 10, at 9:15 a.m. and run until 10:15 a.m. from the parking lot across from the Shoppette as specified in the above map. Shuttles will resume after the ceremony, making stops at specified parking areas. They will also go to the Post Change of Command Reception at the Bayview Commonwealth Center and continue to run until all attendees are returned to the specified parking area.
