— The 633rd Security Forces Squadron hosted a National Police Week opening ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, May 15, 2017. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Public Law 87-726, designating May 15 as Peace Officers' Memorial Day, and the week in which May 15 falls as National Police Week. Police Week memorializes law enforcement officers who laid-down their lives in service to the nation.
