Putting the dirt in 'Dirt Boys'
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Brandon Ritenour, 633rd Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator, empties a loader at Langley Air Force Base, Va., Jan. 9, 2015. Heavy equipment operators are often referred to as “Dirt Boys” because of the messy nature of their job. Ritenour said “Dirt Boy” is a term of endearment he takes pride in, because it signifies the hard work he and his team put into making the mission possible.
