Entomology manages mosquitoes and brings in the bees
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Kelly Berger, 633rd Civil Engineer Squadron pest management technician, brings a honey bee to its colony’s new hive entrance outside the 633rd CES entomology shop at Langley Air Force Base, Va., Sep. 30, 2014. The entomology shop combined two separate bee colonies and kept them from attacking one another by spraying each colony with sugar-water. When the separate colonies were introduced, the sugar attracted the bees to one another, easing the pairing of the two colonies.
