JTF-CS conducts vision recognition training
A CH-47D Chinook attached to 5-159th General Support Aviation Battalion, 244th Aviation Brigade, flies by the Yorktown Victory Monument and surrounding beaches during a vision recognition training flight out of Fort Eustis, Va., July 8, 2014. A vision recognition training flight is a flight where the pilot uses landmarks, roads and waterways to navigate the helicopter. The 5-159th GSAB is a part of Task Force Aviation, a component of Joint Task Force Civil Support. Task Force Aviation’s mission, the only aviation brigade in the Army Reserves, provides command and control of aviation assets to support JTF-CS.
