LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. – Lt. Col. Joel Cook, 71st Fighter Squadron commander, returns from a two-week temporary duty assignment to Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., in support of a weapon system evaluation program May 27. The TDY was the last ever for the 71 FS as the unit will be deactivated this fall. The program is designed to evaluate pilots, aircraft and maintenance personnel in the area of ordnance employment. “Our maintenance support was the best I've ever seen in my 17 years of service,” said Cook.
