Fort Crafford, formally the home of the Crafford family during the Civil War, is now a preserved war fortification at Fort Eustis, Va., Aug. 10, 2012. Estimated to have been built between 1730 and 1750, Confederate State Army troops occupied the land around the family farm in 1861.
