The Fort Eustis Fire & Emergency Services Flight recently received "Accredited Agency" status from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International for meeting the criteria established through the CFAI's voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program. The flight is one of 150 agencies internationally to receive accreditation from the CFAI and the Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc., which puts them in the top 1 percent of fire departments across the United States.
