TRADOC Band Music Recital Series kicks off
The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Band’s Chamber Music Recital Series recently began with a performance at the Williamsburg Library for an enthusiastic audience of classical music lovers. Sgt. Luis Rivera (standing) TRADOC Band clarinetist and saxophonist, was a soloist with two of the ensembles. The chamber music recital featured the TRADOC Band’s Clarinet Quartet, the Woodwind Quintet and the Tuba/Euphonium Quartet. On Sunday Oct. 21, the TRADOC Band’s Recital Series continues with a performance by the TRADOC Brass Band, TRADOC Transit Authority, performing at the Smithfield Little Theatre at 7pm. The theater is located at 210 N. Church Street, Smithfield Virginia. For a lunchtime chamber music treat, at noon Oct. 23rd, the TRADOC Band will perform at St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Featured ensembles include the Woodwind Octet performing selections from Mozart’s Serenade No. 10, conducted by 2nd Lt. Silas Huff, the Flute and Guitar Duo, the Tuba/Euphonium Quartet and the TRADOC Brass Quintet. As always the TRADOC Band recitals are free and open to the public. (Courtesy photo / Released)
