JTF-CS conducts homeland response deployment readiness exercise at Fort Eustis
Soldiers from the 149th Transportation Company, 10th Trans. Battalion transport part of the 130 short tons of equipment and supplies as part of a Joint Task Force Civil Support deployment readiness exercise at Fort Eustis, Va., April 16, 2013. The four-day exercise was part of a "crawl, walk, run" process JTF-CS is undertaking this year in an effort to validate its ability to respond quickly and enable the Response Force to save lives. To that end, JTF-CS will further validate its response capabilities and procedures next month during Sudden Response, a command post exercise at Fort A.P. Hill, Va.
