The Front Line: Airman 1st Class Allison Mott

By 633d Medical Group 633d Aerospace Medicine Squadron

Front Line Warrior: Airman 1st Class Allison Mott

Deployed Unit: 376th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron; Transit Center Manas, Kyrgyzstan

Duty Title: Security Escort

Home Unit:
633d Aerospace Medicine Squadron

Hometown: Lake Mary, Fla.

Time in Service: Active-duty Air Force two years

Describe your deployed duty and the tools you use to accomplish it: I watch host-country nationals perform various duties on the transit center, including construction and logistics, while maintaining force protection matters to ensure the safety of the base. I received this training through my security escort leadership.

What do you bring to the fight? I use force protection measures, such as inspecting discarded documents to ensure personal identification information cannot be compromised. I have a 100 percent line of vision on the host-country nationals to ensure they cannot and do not take anything that would compromise base security.

What are you overall thoughts and opinions about your mission there? I find the mission here to be rewarding, because security escorts give the transit personnel coming in and out of Afghanistan peace of mind when coming through.

Supervisor Comments: "Airman Mott has been a strong member of our Escort Flight here at Transit Center Manas. She first displayed her teamwork and selflessness when she finished her detail one day and went around to all the other details offering hot chocolate and coffee. She is also one of the first to step up and volunteer. Airman Mott has been involved with Base Honor Guard, Manas Area Benefit Outreach Society events, squadron sporting events and humanitarian assistance just  to name a few.

Her contributions to this flight and unit made her an easy candidate for 376 ECES Airman of the Month for March. It has been my pleasure to have Airman Mott on our team for this deployment." -- Tech. Sgt. Ronald LeBeau, deployed supervisor
