Describe your deployed duty and the tools you use to accomplish it: I am responsible for health care in the AFCENT area of responsibility, including Iraq, Afghanistan and the Horn of Africa.
What do you bring to the fight? As a physician with board certification in a preventive medicine specialty, I ensure the health and medical readiness for all our Air Force members. I also ensure that all service members receive the very best treatment in Air Force medical facilities and the Theater Air Evacuation System.
What are you overall thoughts and opinions about your mission there? Treating wounded servicemembers answers one of our nation's highest callings, and I see no higher purpose or greater reward.
