LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. –
The 633rd Force Support Squadron has initiated a new guest policy letter for both the Air Combat Command and Shellbank fitness centers.
"Our primary mission is to support unit commanders' fitness programs to keep our [Service Members] fit to fight," said U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Eric Brown, 633rd FSS fitness center section chief. "In this austere budget environment, it has become a challenge to support the growing population of personnel in our fitness centers."
In order to alleviate facility congestion and allow JBLE personnel the full benefit of their time in the fitness center, the guidelines are as follows:
· Only active-duty, guard and reserve sponsors can sign in one guest per visit. No other patrons, including dependents, are permitted to sign in guests. The sponsors and their guests must show a picture identification card to fitness center staff members at the entrance desk upon entry.
· Sponsors are accountable for the conduct of their guests and must accompany their guests at all times while in the facility. Sponsors cannot leave guests unattended, nor can individuals sign in guests that they do not personally know.
· Any sponsor or guest violating fitness center rules or displaying conduct deemed inappropriate by the fitness center staff will be asked to leave the facility and the sponsor's chain of command will be notified.
The new guest policy will help alleviate problems associated with inappropriate behaviors, reduce wear and tear on equipment, and allow better management of resources to help keep Service members fit to fight.
