YORKTOWN, Va. –
From left, Sgt. 1st Class David Stover II, Spc. Frankie Wright and Sgt. 1st Class Ryan McCaffrey explain to first and third graders how uniform ribbons and insignia are earned during a "Salute to Veterans" tribute at Grafton Bethel Elementary School, located in Yorktown, Dec. 6. The Soldiers performed as the color guard during an assembly in the school's cafeteria at the beginning of the tribute. Following the assembly, the Soldiers discussed how their personal military experiences included humanitarian assistance. Stover and McCaffrey are the U.S. Army Drill Sergeants of the Year, stationed at U.S. Army Initial Military Training at Fort Eustis. Wright is assigned to U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Headquarters and Headquarters Company at Fort Eustis.
