The 93rd Signal Brigade welcomed its new commander, U.S. Army Col. Frank J. Snyder, and command sergeant major, Command Sgt. Maj. Carlos M. Medina, during a change of command and responsibility ceremony at Fort Eustis, Virginia, August 15.

During the ceremony, Snyder accepted command from Col. Maria A. Biank, and Medina accepted responsibility from Command Sgt. Maj. Ricky Wallace. The brigade is subordinate to the 7th Signal Command (Theater), located at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Brig. Gen. John W. Baker, 7th Sig. Command (Theater) commanding general, presided over the ceremony.

Baker thanked Biank and Wallace for all of their work, then welcomed the new leaders.

"It's great to see the Army pick the right leaders for this position," said Baker. "You are taking charge of an incredible group of professionals and I know that you will do exceptionally well."

Snyder commissioned as a signal officer through the ROTC program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Snyder recently served as Battalion Commander of the 30th Signal Battalion at Wheeler Army Air Field, Hawaii, and J654 branch chief for Cyberspace Plans, Exercises and International Engagement at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

"My family and I are honored to join the 93rd Signal Brigade family," said Snyder. "Over the last few days, I have been humbled by the knowledge, experience, dedication and professionalism inherent in the brigade's senior civilian military leaders. I look forward to the awesome responsibilities, challenges and successes we will share. I pledge to you my best efforts, always. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve our nation and uphold the brigade's values, whose motto is 'loyalty, harmony and accuracy.'"
