JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. -- –
The 7thTransportation Brigade (Expeditionary) conducted a Resolute Challenge brigade competition at Fort Eustis, Sept. 5, to test warrior skills, build teamwork and esprit de corps, and foster friendly competition among its subordinate units.
During the Resolute Challenge, U.S. Army Soldiers were challenged physically and mentally through demanding, rigorous and fun tests such as land navigation, an obstacle course, a canoe event, weapons assembly and litter carries.
U.S. Army Col. Randall Nelson, 7th Trans. Bde. (Ex.) commander, and Sgt. Maj. Vickie Culp, 7th Trans. Bde. (Ex.) command sergeant major, joined in on the fun and teamed up to compete in the challenge.
"That was a very challenging course and this was a great way for me to start my month," she said. "It shows that you all were motivated, dedicated, worked together as a team and we got it done!"
The first-place title went to the 393rd Harbor Master Operations Detachment, 11th Trans. Btn., 7th Trans. Bde. (Ex.), with Sgt. 1st Class Kinion Smart, Sgt. Raynard Peralta, Spc. Andrei D. Priimak; second place to a team from 331st Causeway, 11th Trans. Btn., 7th Trans. Bde. (Ex.); and third place to Soldiers from the 567th Inland Cargo Transfer Company, 10th Transportation Battalion, 7th Trans. Bde. (Ex.).
