JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. –

Computer screens and wires filled the Fort Eustis Club during a traveling Government Technology Exhibit at Fort Eustis, Oct. 9.
The exhibit featured 35 vendors within the genres of universities, enterprise solutions, cyber security and multimedia groups.
The event was intended for those who utilize technology in their job and are interested in learning more about technology, said Mark Tisone, International Communications Corporation partner and event coordinator.
"Service members will one day be a part of the private workforce," said Tisone. "One of the needs they may have is technology and how to use it. This event is a great way for them to learn that information."
Fort Eustis community members were able to observe the future in technology and speak to representatives who produce these advanced products in the hopes that they will be better prepared for future endeavors.
One of the vendors was there to display their equipment designed to to assist those who have acquired a brain injury. The equipment has video game-like technology, virtual, anatomically-realistic upper extremities with true range of motion. It is used to help assist the injured by stimulating physical exercises and cognitive tasks.
The traveling exhibit hosts events on military installations to help the Service members stay relevant on training and current developments as well as provides them with universities who have degrees specified toward technology.
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Joseph Guzman, 11th Transportation Battalion, 368th Transportation company platoon sergeant, saw the event on a poster and decided to check it out, curious as to what sort of venders and new technology would be involved.
"Events like this give us an opportunity to see other options that our military training could be used for in a civilian job," said Gunzman. "It also helps us know the universities that can help us pursue a job."
New technology is always being created and the International Communications Corporation will continue to host technology events to share the information.
