JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. –
The 633rd Medical Group's USAF Hospital Langley is a full service hospital offering a wide range of medical services. We are partnered with Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Fort Eustis' McDonald Army Health Center and the Hampton VA Medical Center, to provide care to TRICARE beneficiaries from all military services across Hampton Roads area.
We want to remind our beneficiaries of the following items in accordance with TRICARE, TRICARE Prime, TRICARE Prime Remote and TRICARE Young Adult policies:
· Urgent Care Centers: Patients must obtain referral authorization from their primary care manager before going to a UCC. Failure to obtain a referral will result in the patient incurring a point-of-service charge. To obtain referral authorization, please call Hospital Langley at 225-7630 or the Nurse Advise Line at (800) 874-2273, Option 1. Urgent medical care is defined as care that does not threaten life, limb or eyesight, but needs attention to prevent a condition from becoming a serious risk to health.
· Civilian Network Provider: Patients who seek care from a civilian provider without prior authorization will incur TRICARE POS charge, which could result in significant out of pocket costs to you. Please ensure, before seeing a network provider for non-emergent care, you have appropriate authorization to do so.
· Your PCM is the best resource for deciding when and where you should receive care.
MiCare is the military's secure messaging service, allowing you to correspond safely with your primary care team via a secure internet portal. Through this service, a client can request radiology and lab test results, refill prescriptions, schedule appointments and access a library of health education material. Need to register? Follow these three easy steps:
· Sign up in person at the 633rd MDG
· Your PCM team will email you a MiCare invitation

The Nurse Advice Line is available 24/7 to help you decide whether self-care is the best option, or if you should see a healthcare provider. Additionally, the NAL can:
· Help schedule or cancel appointments
· Help with pediatric issues to include an offer to call to check on your child.
· Notify your PCM of your call to let them know what was advised.
· Provide advice on how and when to seek help for mental health concerns.
